It is our goal to see you become financially independent, past your barriers, in your own place, and working through a well-defined "life strategy". There will come a time after you have completed several training components and you rebuilt areas of your life that it will be appropriate for you to leave the semi-controlled environment of Central Care Mission. GRADUATION! It will be a very challenging time for you, but will also be exciting. It is important that you not get ahead of your personal development by allowing frustration, anxiousness, relationships, or compulsiveness to control you.

When you depart, it should be rewarding and an expression of your continuing success. To accomplish this, you will need to incorporate in your life through your "life strategy" the same elements that will have helped you achieve your success. In a unique and sometimes unnoticed way, the structure provided by Central Care Mission plays a major role in rebuilding your life. As you leave, you will need to have a structure built around you which continues the rebuilding process. The most important element from this structure to be considered is that of "accountability". You must establish a network of accountability around you. This will be vital to your success.

When you start the process of leaving, you will be enrolled in a program called AFTERCARE. This program was established specifically to assist men who are embarking on this journey. The most significant difference will be that the accountability in your life will be predominately voluntary. You must remember that you will not be the first to have gone through this transition. There are many others who have been able to make this transition with terrific results. These men will be there to help you and will become a part of your network of accountability. Aftercare's objectives will be to:

• Assist you in locating affordable housing in a practical location
• Refer you to places or individuals for furniture and supplies
• Meet weekly for continued training
• Provide fellowship
• Assist with transportation needs
• Provide opportunities for you to give back to your community
• Provide professional guidance in areas needed
• Maintain a level of accountability

Whatever you may experience in the form of struggle or victory, there will be someone who has experienced the same who can help.

Your involvement in the Aftercare program, will be predicated upon your completion of the Central Care program. Central Care Mission hosts an annual banquet in which we all will celebrate your success together with many others who make these things possible.

If all of this is to be, it will be up to You!

• You must make it happen.
