Good News Ministries

Good News Ministry is an extension ministry of Central Care Mission to homeless persons. Services provided include spiritual development, hot meals, clothing, and referral services. Currently, there is a church service and hot breakfast provided for approximately 300 homeless persons every Sunday morning in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. The service begins at 6am and concludes at 8am. Volunteers are asked to report at 5:30 am and are involved in food preparation, table set-up, serving food and drinks, clean-up, and re-set up.

This past year, in a 12 month period, 408 individuals came forward to receive Christ.

On Christmas Eve Day, Central Care Mission and Compassion Corner provided a lunch buffet and Christmas presents to approximately 450 homeless persons. The event was sponsored by Heart of the City Ministries.

Mission: Possible

"........ helping people find Jesus, know Jesus and love Jesus."

Recognizing the hundreds of homeless in Lakeland, HPN is committed to ministering to the less fortunate. Located at 702 Tennessee Ave. in downtown Lakeland, HPN's MISSION POSSIBLE! is a house of compassion.

HPN volunteers give of their time and resources to feed dozens of the homeless delicious lunches twice a month on Saturdays. Music and a message of hope gets the good news of Christ out on the "Highways & Byways."

This ministry simply helps through feeding, clothing, counseling, housing and encouraging individuals to get established in society and in the Kingdom of God.

The harvest is plentious and there's room and need for many workers. Contact Steve Wade at the MP office (863) 559-4792 for more information
